Horses for Re-homing
These are our current horses looking for the right match
Rosie

Take a look at Rosie! She came to us very underweight, sick, headshy, and standoffish, but she has done a complete 180. She is healthy, sound, gentle and very sweet! A ranch horse in her previous life, Rosie is older, probably late teens/early twenties, but she is an easy keeper and not marish. She prefers to be on her own in the field, but she has gotten used to the other horses around. She stands solid for everything: brushing, washing, shoeing, saddling. She is the pick whenever people come out to ride. We took her out west on a ranch ride with a 7 year old girl and Rosie took great care of her. She stands tied all night and is ready to go the next day. Lots of whoa, but will go when asked. Rosie probably has some arthritis in her back and does not like to get back shoes on, so we just shoe her in front. Great kids horse or lead-line horse.
GusGus

This is Gus. He is a big, sweet, in your pocket kinda guy. (Like checking your pockets for any food you might have!) When we got him, he was very underweight, cuts and scratches everywhere, and had long, broken up feet that had not been cared for in some time. He stands 17.3 and is older, probably late teens, but we think he was probably well used in his early years. He rides and drives single and double and loves a job. Easy to be around, stands for the farrier. He will really buddy up with another draft horse if given the opportunity, and would make a great teammate for some light work.
