Our Mission
Natan Horse Ministries is a 501C3 organization that helps unlucky horses and distressed owners. We bring in unwanted or neglected horses for the purpose of restoring their quality of life and finding them loving homes.
An integral part of this rehabilitation mission is the profound reciprocal benefit that horses provide when they find the right human.
Our organizational desire is to match the right horse with the right person.

NATAN
The word "natan" is a palindrome: it is the same whether you read it forwards or backwards. It is a Hebrew word describing the infinite process of giving and receiving. One cannot give without receiving equally and one cannot receive without giving equally.
We believe animals and people should co-exist in this way.

Why "Ministries"?
We are not religiously affiliated, but we understand how horses minister to people in the same way people minister to horses. Horses have a need for care and love that people can provide; People have a need for comfort and companionship that horses can provide.
Our passion is helping horses and matching them with the right person or family.

About Us
Located between Lawrence and Topeka KS, Natan Horse Ministries is a not-for-profit horse rehabilitation center established in late 2022. Many horses find themselves in tough situations, but they still have so much to give. Our small team of board members have all experienced the therapeutic benefit of horses, and through a confluence of life events, had the opportunity to come together around our passion.

As lifelong horse advocate, Mary has had horses in her heart since childhood. A part of other therapeutic horse organizations, Mary has seen the way horses can be a teacher and a gift for so many people. As life has a way of doing, horses have been physically in and out of her story, but coming full circle after a years of office administration and management, Mary found the perfect match of horses and business with NHM.
